QIAO WERN

Obsessive Compulsions is a visual exploration of various types of Obsessive Compulsive Disorders commonly referred to as OCD. It is an attempt to make people aware that OCD is not just washing

hands, as often portrayed in media, but an uncontrollable obsessive behaviour which a sufferer fights with everyday.

This project is about myself’s life growing up with my sister who was an OCD. I deconstructed these memories into different emotions and integrated these fragments into my illustrations. I hope this story can be both powerful and empowering, providing inspiration and encouragement to my audience.

 

My intension to this problem is to create a series of real life stories and experience views of OCD patients with illustrations to raise awareness and understanding about OCD.
